View Full Version : Online Income? LBurna20770 04-16-2004, 04:27 PM Where does most of your online income come from? Mine comes from selling domains online and soon it will be hosting. rwaforums 04-16-2004, 06:06 PM I don't make any money online, offline either, the only income comes from my salary, which is pretty poor. Nathan 04-16-2004, 06:11 PM I sell advertising and text links on my forum sites: www.ContractorTalk.com www.DIYChatroom.com www.W3Talk.com Also, I just started two new sites this week: www.W3Template.com www.ContractorHunt.com - Find A Contractor Site Well see how things pan out but I have high hopes. Nathan 04-16-2004, 06:36 PM This post reminded me to update my signature! LOL Antiphrasis 04-18-2004, 04:28 AM Nathan, Good luck on your new sites!!! You nabbed yourself some good domain names. =) Antiphrasis 05-31-2004, 02:32 AM Where does most of your online income come from? Mine comes from selling domains online and soon it will be hosting. I used to have no online income at all, except from some eBay sales, but lately I have offered graphic design services, and I have made some money. No big amounts at all, but still some cash. It is hard work though, but I like doing it. :) rwaforums 05-31-2004, 07:19 AM I used to have no online income at all, except from some eBay sales, but lately I have offered graphic design services, and I have made some money. Also it's good practice and I get to expand my portfolio which will probably attract future clients. :thumb: kjwinter 06-03-2004, 08:52 AM Obviously, well advertised web sites will generate review from traffic, but how does a graphic designer, network engineer or lawn care person find clients online? Tom 06-04-2004, 02:06 AM I'm not sure I understand your question kjwinter. Nathan 06-04-2004, 09:50 PM Well, there are a bunch of places you can get online leads from for contractors. If your looking for lawn care leads head over to: www.ContractorHunt.com (http://www.contractorhunt.com/) (I own this one) www.ServiceMagic.com (http://www.servicemagic.com/) (I wish I owned this one ;) ) Cemiess 06-21-2004, 12:24 PM I co-own a website that helps you acheive the mindset needed for success. There's still a lot of work to do, but we are up and running and in fact selling. Our one pay-for product is an audio book that "clears your mind" of all the junk that's been fed to it since you were a child. We think we've got a good thing going, only trouble is: Marketing. If anyone knows a good cost effective way of marketing a site/product like this please let us know. At the moment we're trying a few things but not having a great deal of luck. We're more after where to market than specific marketing/sales techniques. Cemiess 06-22-2004, 02:49 PM What have you tried so far? A highly unsuccessful banner campaign with Zencudo, and newsgroups so far. Trying as many low cost things as possible. Next to try are bcentral and google adwords. What do you recommend? :hmm: Tom 06-22-2004, 10:49 PM I think you could have a lot of success with adwords. IAFPO 06-24-2004, 04:13 AM AdWords have pulled lots of traffic to us in test runs. Sales will depend on how well your copy is written. Cemiess 06-24-2004, 05:15 AM AdWords have pulled lots of traffic to us in test runs. Sales will depend on how well your copy is written. I've tried to distance myself from the usual BS you get in these sales letters, and be a bit more personal. Especially as I'm a co producer of the product so I totally believe in it! Lynn Terry 07-30-2004, 09:49 AM Adwords is good. It's true, though, that you should test your copy - as once you get a stream of traffic to the site... you want to capitalize on it! ;) I would suggest both Adwords and SEO (optimizing your web pages to rank in the top 3-5 for your chosen Primary Keyword Phrase). You cant beat free search engine traffic, as it is so highly targeted! You might also consider setting up an affiliate program (if you havent already) and let others (who are already successful at marketing, or have large mailing lists) promote your site for you. Another idea is to write & submit articles... with your URL in the signature. Back to the original question: Online Income?... I earn $ from Affiliate Marketing (via SEO & PPC). I'm also in web development and have a large client base that produces steady work. I co-own a membership site, as well. I work from home full-time, and have since 1996. Then, for fun, I run an online community for others like me... host teleseminars, do radio interviews, conduct live (public) case studies... and every once in awhile play Pinochle on Yahoo Games :p airpaden 05-27-2006, 01:31 AM I don't make any money online, offline either, the only income comes from my salary, which is pretty poor. There is money to be made online. I have a few great programs. Peace, CP humdinger 06-04-2006, 07:15 AM AdWords have pulled lots of traffic to us in test runs. Sales will depend on how well your copy is written. Hate to plug, but the course in my sig is excellent! ;) But yes, copy is imperative. The key is not to be too wacky, too crazy, too different. Ultimately solid form is what sells and what sells well. wealth creation 06-05-2006, 09:53 AM Hi I make a small online income, mainly from affiliate programs. One earns me nearly US$1,000 per month, although it can be erratic. My main income is from stock market trades such as trading options on the Australian stock market. I haven't yet graduated to the Dow Jones. I also sell stock market education programs which supplements my income and takes the pressure off my trading. Pat 07-20-2006, 08:18 PM As for the original question--I don't yet but hope to through affiliate marketing of personal development and self growth products (and AdSense). Reeveso 07-22-2006, 08:17 AM what kind of affiliate products are you guys selling and actually making money with? I tried that a few months ago but couldnt find anything I was interested in. I like to only work with things I believe in |
