Although I can't personally recommend it, because I haven't read it yet, I can say that as much as Coach has contributed to this forum, he certainly deserves some sales! :)

Coach,

Is it possible for your book be made available here in the Philippines on our leading bookstores like "National Bookstore" or Power Books?

In order for that to happen I would have to work out a deal with the bookstore's buyer. Most bookstores, especially chains, won't do business with authors directly. Instead they only buy from distributors or wholesalers. This is the main challenge for self published authors... getting their books on bookstore shelves.

Having said that, if a bookstore wants to stock my book it's as easy as calling me to set up the transaction. If you were to walk into your bookstore and give them my book information or my contact inormation from my website, they could contact me and order the book for you. :)

that sounds a lot of work... no wonder why only famous books like 7 habits and carnegie's books are available on bookstores... no promises but i'll try, national bookstore (http://www.nationalbookstore.com.ph/) has a website maybe i could drop a request or something. :D

they also features the book your reading "the world is flat" as a best seller this july under non-fiction. fyi

The World is Flat is a good read if you are interested in a fresh perspective on Business / Global Economics, otherwise... it's a yawn (IMHO).

Chazper,
If and when you decide to order my book, you can buy it from me directly, recieve the 10% discount and I'll ship it to the Phillipines for free.

Thanks for you interest!

I agree. I am going to buy it at the bookstore today. I really am not much of an online shopper, because I always worry about stuff getting lost in the mail, or the shipment being delivered when I am not here. Then you have to go and pick the package up at the post office. Anyway, I will be reading it tonight :thumb:

Hey Coach. I'd like to buy it (today). Would I be doing you a favor to buy it directly from your website or from Amazon?

Just out of curiosity, if I buy it from your website, are you the actual seller...I mean do you have spare bedroom in your house with boxes of this book?

...hahaha :biglaugh:
yep, I'm the seller. My company, Morse & Associates, Inc. is the publisher and distributor, but the books aren't stacked up in my bedroom. I have an office outside of my home and the books are stored there. :)

Amazon has to order from me to get the book in stock. I make more money per book if you order from me direct, so that's why I'm offering a discount and free shipping. If you order from Amazon, I make a little less, but it will cost you a few dollars more plus shipping. Either way is okay with me. :thumb:

Thanks for your interest, and happy reading! :)

yep.... well it's the classifieds and I don't see any reason to keep re-typing the same ad, so it get's bumped (aka working smarter, not harder).

Besides, if I don't promote me, who will?

I self-published via my company, so Morse & Associates, Inc is the publisher. I hired the printing done by a printing co. that specializes in short runs (from 200 to 10,000), Morris Publishing (http://www.morrispublishing.com) - the prices vary depending on the number of pages, type of cover design, and number of copies printed, but I found them to be much less than POD or subsidy publishers, and I maintain all rights to my work. Generally speaking, $3 per book is the price I recommend shopping for (more or less depending on specifics of your book) if you're going to self publish. Of course, if you can get picked up by a traditional publisher that still (IMO) would be the best case scenario.

Hope this helps... :tiphat:

... oh yeah, and be sure to stop by my website and order your own copy of "Take Charge - Get Results" today! :D
