I'm posting from work at the moment, I'm stopping the night at my mums trying to sort out her VAT return. So won't be on my home PC until friday night. I usually leave my PC on 24/7, but being as I'm not at home tonight, I've decided to switch it off.

While I agree that 1000 posts is a nice start, it also seems that activity is slowing down right now. I am having trouble figuring out exactly where to advertise. If it were a site about say web hosting or graphic design, I could probably find 100 sites to advertise on today. But with this site, I haven't come up with anything yet.

Have you tried advertising on financial sites? A lot of people equate money to success.

Who sez this site has to match the sites you are looking to advertise at? Succes is Success, and yes, most people equate $ucce$$ with Money, but I think you'll agrtee that even the Money people don't just cruise the money sites, anymore than the Spiritual people stay only within the confines of the Spirit community.

Who else might you think of from that angle?

Could you do a Joint Venture with Success.com?

Could you do a mini-contest that rewards us somehow for suggesting possible ad sites that work? i'm sure you know you cannot possibly know all the places that are possible. Hence, the impetus for this thread.

I think MantaRayz is right. You can advertise on different types of web sites. I used go to a computer hardwate site that had advertising for all kinds of different web sites and I found some good ones that way.

Advertizing on the internet is kinda like advertizing in reality. But the "normal" 1%-2% response in direct mailing looks to be more like .01 - .02% from cyber-ads. Hence the billions of emails for a campaign to sell x10 cameras. or other 'enhancement' products.

Remember, don't expect, because that will never happen. Instead, stay true to your Reasons for creating this site, and that will steer this ship in the right waters.
