What is the best way to change this subconscious mind? Scarlet Warrior 04-29-2004, 01:54 AM There are several techniques for programming the subconscious such as visualization, meditation, affirmations etc. I'm not sure if there is any one 'best' technique.... different ways work better for different people. IAFPO 04-29-2004, 07:08 PM Well, often the subconscious is simply something that you once knew that you forgot you knew, and often (or most the time) it controls you without realizing it. For example, when you were 5 years old, you may have decided that it was not wise to share your thoughts because you were yelled at by your parents when you told them something, for example. Now that you are an adult, you probably forgot that you made that decision but that decision still effects you today. You probably don't remember it because now it is in your subconscious mind. That's just an example, the decisions you made could have been different, but it's those forgotten decisions that run your life subconsciously. The only effective way to change the subconscious mind is to become conscious of what was subconscious, because once you find out a thought, belief or decision you made is running your life unbeknownst to you, and you fully realize the negative impact of that thought, belief or decision, you will instantly change it. Awareness is key. The most effective thing that I have found to effect that is a course called the Landmark Forum ( http://www.landmarkeducation.com (http://www.landmarkeducation.com/) ) which gives you tools to be able to be aware of those type of things and change (or as they say transform) them. I would highly recommend that course to anyone. Landmark Forum - http://www.landmarkeducation.com/ |
