View Full Version : I need your help for an ebook
flensborg 05-02-2004, 11:55 PM Hi,
I've taken on a personal challenge: To write and publish an ebook in less that 3 weeks.
But what should I write about?
I could choose a topic myself, but I would rather write about the topic that most people here would like a solution to.
So, please let me know which "how to" book I should write that would help you the most with something that you find challenging in your life right now.
It must be a topic in the self-development area.
Please submit your idea using the form at http://www.growth-focus.com/ebookidea.html
I'll pick the one with the most votes and when it's done I'll let those helping me out know how to download it for free.
Sincerely,
Henrik Flensborg
MantaRayz 05-03-2004, 02:57 AM Well, today, I need help with poorly designed printers (ie - HP printer with a spring that 'boings' out during page 12 of a 340 page print job), and poorly compooters. and poorly secured internet. So I guess you can take your pick.
I've downloaded 3 "anti-spyware" fixes, and it looks like at least one of them caused some of the infections in the first place, and now I can't get rid of it! AAAARRRRRGH!!!!!!
So "How to Super-Clean SpyWare and AdWare from your Compooter" would get MY top vote today!
Include sections on ......
~ How to safely get into and navigate the registries and other spots these a**holes designate as "home" for their little creations. (note - I wish there was a smilie the read [:ShotGun Blast to the Face and shoulders:] :thumb: )
~ How to prevent these insidious virusi from getting ahold of your machine. etc, etc, etc.
~ Any pending legislation or other remedies.
~ Listings of known-to-publish-date offenders.
~ Listings of the BEST sotftware to help counter their madness.
~ Known locations around the world to avoid.
My second top vote getter would be "How to defeat Malicious Compooter Hacks from the privacy of your own terminal - Kill those suckas DED!"
Good luck on your book. Keep us posted!
Good idea Manta, but...
It must be a topic in the self-development area.
Scarlet Warrior 05-03-2004, 04:07 AM Flensborg,
How about an ebook which explains how to properly set goals.... ie methods and formatting for actually writing them down, and how to stay motivated to see them through to completion.
I have no troubles identifying what goals I want to achieve, but I still would like to know what the best strategies for achieving them are. Thanks. :)
BTW - Manta,
Try using Spybot Search and Destroy or Adaware 6.... they are both free downloads (I think you can get them at www.download.com ). Also, avoid installing dodgy software like Kazaa and Morpheus etc.... they're loaded with spyware. :)
Scarlet Warrior 05-03-2004, 04:25 AM I guess I better post this on the link Flensborg provided ;)
endeavour 05-03-2004, 05:52 AM Achievement does not come easy, that's why it's celebrated. How do we continue to endure the challenge of success when it continually throws resistance towards us.
IAFPO 05-06-2004, 05:19 PM Good idea Manta, but...It must be a topic in the self-development area.Well, flenborg could write an ebook on how do self-develop yourself into a person who can defeat hackers and spyware. ;)
flensborg 05-22-2004, 02:15 AM I completed the ebook last night :)
Thank you all for your suggestions for the topic - both here in the thread and from the form on my site.
The topic most people agreed would help them the most was "how to beat procrastination".
I had 21 days - or rather 21 times a few hours each night - to do it in, and I managed to complete it just a few hours before the deadline.
So, if you would like a short - and free - ebook on how to beat procrastination, then you can download it at http://growth-focus.com/procrastination-download.html
All the best,
Sincerely,
Henrik Flensborg
For some reason nothing happened when I tried to download it. :hmm:
For some reason nothing happened when I tried to download it. :hmm:
Nevermind. Must have been a glitch, it works for me now.
