endeavour 05-11-2004, 08:04 AM welcome bassman.
contrary to common/popular perception, when i think of bass, i think of the poor old "forgotten" tuba!
David 05-15-2004, 04:57 AM A musician from the land of Geddy Alex and Neil. Are you a Rush fan?
endeavour 05-15-2004, 07:03 AM now david, if i didn't understand you were 40 y.o., the comment wouldn't have been so relevant. So what is rush up to these days, if anything? I've mentioned before in these pages that 2112 was my favourite album.
David 05-15-2004, 08:34 AM Rush, My Friend, have been very busy in the last three years. Two American tours. They are going to tour Europe late in the year. Rush released A studio LP named Vapor Trails in May of 2003 (67 minutes long.) While they were in Rio De Jeniro last year they filmed a concert that was released as a 2 set DVD that won an award for best DVD. At the end of June they will release for their 30th anniversary tour a CD with cover tunes from the sixies.
Back in 97 Neil Peart lost his wife and daughter in two separate accidents, took 5 years off, came back and authored a 450 page biography titled: Ghost Rider.
I could go on and on, but let me give you this. Rush Home Page (http://www.rush.com)
Probably one of the most interesting things is going to be this CD coming out in june called "FEEDBACK" with covers from the likes of Cream, The Who, Buffalo springfield and five other bands from the sixties.
thebassman 05-15-2004, 07:28 PM Can't say that I'm a big Rush fan... I've seen them live a couple times... but honestly, I'm probably a little too young too appreciate the music of the great Rush... I'm still in my 20's... :yikes: :hmm:
