I'm re-readying Journey in the Fields of Forever by John Harricharan (one of my favorite authors) and I came across this passage. Thought it was worth sharing.

One character, says to another:

If you act as if you don't deserve the gifts of the universe, the universe won't be able to give you anything. Receiving is just as important as giving. If you want to receive, you must learn to give. And if you give, you must learn to receive. One cannot exist without the other.

Isn't that some good stuff? :sunshine:

Yes! :rulz: Give and Receive
Each give the other the meaning....

The Law of Polarity states that everything has an opposite and the opposite is also equal.

Up and Down, Left and Right, Rich and Poor, Empty and Full

Within every "Bad" situation there is an equal and opposite "Good" in the situation. You can choose your thoughts and view it as either. Everything just "is" ....your own thoughts determine your view and give it meaning.

I just added his books to my list. Thanks!

I have read four of his books.

Three of them are a trilogy:
When You can Walk on Water, Take the Boat
Morning Has Been All Night Coming
Journey in the Fields of Forever (which is where the above quote comes from)

The fourth one I read was Power Pause.

I'm going to have to look into whether or not he offers an affiliate program because his stuff is the kind of stuff I like to offer my newsletter subscribers.

Both giving and receiving are about openness. You cannot be a giver or a receiver unless your heart is open.

So let's all open our :loveit: and watch the magic happen !!

That's an awesome quote, I used to be the kind that thought giving was more important than receiving. Then an author (don't remember who now) helped me understand that every time I recieve graciously I am allowing that other person to experience the joy of giving.

Give and take, or giving and receiving = the natural flow of the universe.

No doubt about it:
Giving starts the receiving process.
I can remember several instances when I had nothing to give but a smile and it came back to me tenfold.
Keep planting seeds and the harvest will come back to you in bucketfulls.

I love this. It resonnates with something I try so often to get across to people but it seems to fall on deaf ears. (Glad to see it hasn't with you people.) Much as it is a blessing to receive, it is so much more so a gift to be able to give freely to someone. Being open to receiving from someone is a great gift. You allow them the joy of giving, of expanding their soul, and allow them to complete a connection with you, removing both of you from isolation.
