the price you pay for living on this planet is to contribute to its welfare with the skills and resources that you have.

unfortunately in the modern era, it is sometimes difficult to believe that you have the power to create those changes.

today, your world is the entire world, and there seems so much to deal with outside there, and i think in the 21st century it is much more difficult to believe that you have the personal power to create significant change.

all human endeavours throughout history have been attained by individuals who knew that they could make a difference, efforts based upon hope. so to rediscover that hope, you must believe in your personal power to create ripples that spread out and change the world

and if it's not you - then who will it be?

Yep, great post. :thumb:

Maybe it's things like watching TV and playing video games etc that have taken away that belief that we can make a difference in the world. We tend to spend alot of time on these unproductive activities and forget about other more important things.

Wow! Did I ever need to see this thread today. I know that to be true in the very essence of my soul. I believe it and try my best to live that every day. But I have felt dis-jointed the last week or so. Making so many new changes in my life all around the same time. I was happy to read this, and it helped me to feel motivated back into that line of thinking again! Thanks, I am glad you typed it up. I know it has been a while since anyone posted to this thread - but I think it is just as relevant a topic at any time! ;)
