I have just read this classic by Denis Waitley. It is a straight-to-the-point, no nonsense book with lots of high quality and practical information.

It is very motivating and I fully recommend it. :yup:

Sounds good Scarlet. I know he has written a lot of motivational stuff. I will have to check this one out.

Can you give an example of something you gained from it, or was it more just positive reinforcement of knowledge you've already gained?

It was mainly reinforcement of knowledge I already had, though it is written in a very enthusiastic and motivating way. I really like the way he discusses positive self expectancy, visualisation and self image.... as I mentioned, it is very motivating.

It is actually a very short book. It only took a couple of days to read.... but the content is high quality.

Waitley discusses 'the 10 qualities of a total winner' which are:

Positive Self Awareness
Positive Self Esteem
Positive Self Control
Positive Self Motivation
Positive Self Expectancy
Positive Self Image
Positive Self Direction
Positive Self Discipline
Positive Self Dimension
Positive Self Projection

Each of these qualities has a chapter dedicated to it, at the end of which Waitley suggests 10 practical ways to implement them.

Scarlet,

Thank you for your help! It's probably an interesting read. I'm curious how to practically implement those fairly abstract terms. :)
