View Full Version : Dean Graziosi's Think a Little Different
Antiphrasis 04-04-2004, 02:28 PM Hi,
I was wondering if any of you guys know more about this real estate program. According to the infomercial you're supposed to be able to buy real estate and property with no money down and be able to resell it for several times as much as you paid for it?
It'd be great to hear back from somebody who hsa tried it.
I'll see if I can find the official page so that you can check it out.
Thanks!
Antiphrasis 04-04-2004, 02:37 PM I wasn't able to find an official homepage for Dean Graziosi but here's some information about the program.

Antiphrasis 04-04-2004, 02:41 PM Doing some more research on the program I found some discouraging information. It seems that some people has reported the program as a scam.

I guess I will have to look for another way of making my first million.
Yeah, I think this guy is a scam artist. I recognized the name, but not from real estate. He is the guy who had the "Motor Millions" course, that was advertised by informercial. It was about making tons of money, buying and selling cars.
Jeremy W. 04-04-2004, 10:49 PM Scam. Scam. Scam.
This is his (by my count) third try at this "get rich with none of your own money" angle. Very enticing. Very.
Don't buy it.
Antiphrasis 04-05-2004, 04:47 AM Yeah, I guess the only guy that is getting rich is Dean himself.
I'm usually really sceptical and I did have a bad feeling about this.
Thanks for your help, guys!

It'd be great to hear back from somebody who hsa tried it.Does the No Money Down concept really work? Absolutely! IF you know what you are doing! It isn't that no money is exchanged, it's that with the proper structuring, none or little of YOUR money is used!
I saw this commercial the other night while working out. I wasn't listening to it (better empowering stuff in my headphones! Thanks Lynn Rose!:-) but the guy looks more about getting your $39.95 (+s&h) than imparting knowledge.

The proper knowledge is key in ANY situation. It will be even more important in the coming years ahead. This wave of appreciation is just about at it's 8 year peak! And just like every time before, that peak comes just before some pretty heavy ..... lets just say ..... Property Value Adjustments.
IAFPO 04-19-2004, 05:29 AM Wasn't this the guy that went to jail for fraud, and stopped selling these programs, no longer endorses them, but people keep selling them anyway?
If this is the same guy I am thinking of, he doesn't even want these courses being sold anymore.
Or I may be thinking of someone else?
You might be thinking of Don Lapre...Although I don't know about the fraud and jail and all that, I know he used to have a message on his website that he doesn't want the stuff being sold.
IAFPO 04-19-2004, 06:19 AM You are right, I was thinking of Don Lapre. I know he was hit up for fraud and threatened with jail. I'm not sure if he served though.
endeavour 05-25-2004, 07:26 AM hey manta, here in australia, we've had an excellent run on real estate, but in the last 3/4 weeks, in sydney, a lull has commenced. it is obvious that a correction is occurring, and prices have stalled, and even reversed by around 5 - 10%, slightly more in some cases.
it is suggested that prices may stabilise at considerable loss to investors over the next 2 years.
what's happening over there?
sususe0924 05-26-2004, 06:24 AM We are experiencing the same problem here in Michigan, USA. Gone are the days where you could pick up property and sell for a large profit. I used to be there but there is no point right now. I am a mortgage broker and real estate agent and see people trying to still do it. I tell them to take their time, look around for the real deals if they can even find them. Don't know if we will ever see the really great deals again.

GA Investor 06-25-2004, 06:39 PM I actually purchased the program. It was a waste of money. What they don't tell you until they call is that they are seeking another $795.00.
I would agree with many others. Save your money.

MantaRayz 06-25-2004, 09:46 PM Sususe,
There are MANY opportunities to make many times your original investment in Real Estate. But as I said, you need to know how to look. I'd also add to that, you need to know when to look, where to look, and with whom to look. No offense, but my experience has been that the traditional Realtor or Mortgage Broker is not the place for those leads.
I'll also add one more component to this equasion. You need to know WHY you are looking for these deas. Are you out for the fast buck at anothers expense? Or are you providing a service that will help others at the same time helping yourself? If you're out for the fast buck, that will typically come back to haunt you in some form or fashion.
MantaRayz 06-25-2004, 09:57 PM hey manta, here in australia, we've had an excellent run on real estate, but in the last 3/4 weeks, in sydney, a lull has commenced. it is obvious that a correction is occurring, and prices have stalled, and even reversed by around 5 - 10%, slightly more in some cases.

what's happening over there?WOW! hats quite a swing in just a few weeks!
It depends on where in the US you are looking. Here in SoCal, the prices are at an all time high, with the conventional outlook of furthur appreciation. But in reality, we are nearing the end of a very predictable cycle that has occured for the past 45+ years. What goes up, does come down! In this case, I would think it wil be around 25% - 40%. More in some areas. A little less in a few others. We've had such tremendous appresiation since 1997 that it has priced all but 14% to 17% of the populatio out of the market. Add to that, insane lending practices (Adjustable loans that people start out maxed out, 125% loans, etc) and we are in for a pretty messy ride for the next 5 - 7 years!
I'm attending a seminar with Bruce Norris this weekend, and talking with him last week, he has the (very well researched and studied) opinion that we might be seeing some of the S&L problems of the 80s all over again. Who will clean it up this time? The Investor strepping in to have houses handed to them from Uncle Sam. Just like before. Positioned well, one can and will profit substancially. And what happens in California happens in much of the rest of the US, usually several years later.
I'm thinking about looking at the Aussie market. I'd like a reason to travel there at least once a year! :D I'll keep my eye on your reports.
jlknauff 07-13-2004, 07:53 PM I don't know about him in particular but I do know that no money down real estate deals still do and always will exist. It is not as simple as they make it out to be though. Real estate markets are always changing. When an area is a sellers market you will not be able to find or structure the deals easily without any of your own money, but if one area is a sellers market, then that means people are leaving from somewhere so another place has to be a buyers market.
One thing that I have to say is that it won't happen overnight and that it is just like anything else-you will suck at first! :D But if you keep at it you will get better-anything worth doing is worth doing poorly untill you get good at it. If you are serious about it learn as much as you can and look at real estate whenever you can. Here is a link that will help you do research:
www.netronline.com (everything you will need is in the free sections)
I've got some more that I can send you tomorrow when I get to work. Hope it helps, good luck :thumb:

I am not talking about the program by Dean Graziosi, but there are successful methods to buy real estate with absolutely no money down. I took a seminar on that exact topic back in the 1970's. That course was called the Lowrey-Nickerson Real Estate Seminar and it was based on a 1950's or thereabouts book by William Nickerson titled How to Make a Fortune Today-Starting from Scratch: Nickerson's New Real Estate Guide
The methods used to buy property with no money down were very specific and had limited applicability. But yes, their methods did work.
