I did this simply by hitting the quote button, and typed my reply underneath it.... hope this helps you. Less work this way too!

Awake at Last 01-02-2007, 09:28 PM The basic quote button works for amateurs and those who only want to post that one person's quote.....:D
If ya really want to impress everyone & get fancy, do the copy & past like you've been doing (that's pretty much all I do), and then if you notice once you've clicked the icon to wrap the quotes tags around it, you'll see the word QUOTE inside brackets at the beginning. All you do is type in the equal sign, then the name of the person who said it. No spaces! And all of this stays inside the brackets right after the word QUOTE. I even know how to quote inside a quote!!! (I can hear you all going oooohhh....and ahhhh....:biglaugh: )

Aviatrix 01-02-2007, 10:23 PM Ok..I have no idea how you did that Awake.....duh...:hmm:
Must be why I always got the report card that said "Avi plays well with others but does not follow directions."
and could someone please explain how you quote a post inside a PM...thanks..
Awake at Last 01-02-2007, 10:58 PM If some techy person could tell me if a PDF can be converted into a jpg, gif or other photo-type file, then I could very easily show you all how it's done. It is so simple you won't believe it. I'm not a techy person and I figured it out! It's just really hard to explain in written words how it's done.

You have to make sure you have no slash in the first bracket and a slash in the second bracket. Those open and close the quotes. The easiest way to see the format for the future is to use the quote button to post something and then open it up with the edit button to see how the formatting works. They are just like formatting tags.

Awake, not sure about converting pdf's into jpg's but you can turn a Publisher file into a jpg, if that helps?
You just open a Publisher file, and type & put your pics in, then use the Group Objects button to make it all one object. Then click on the object, right-click on your mouse, and then there's an option "Save As Picture". Click it & then save your grouped object as a jpg or gif file. Then you can just insert it as a picture in any type of document.
It's very helpful!
P.S. You were the one who showed me how to quote multiple people over in AR, and I thank you very much!
thinkingal 01-28-2007, 11:59 PM Basically what Awake is saying is that you:
1) Hit the reply button
1) Scroll down & cut the bit of the post you want to quote
2) You back into your reply
3) Type [ Quote = username ] but without spaces
4) Paste their quote after this
5) Close the quote by typing [ /Quote ] but again without spaces
6) Continue on with your reply - you can do this before or after the quote in your reply message
7) You can then go back to other people's quotes and cut them & continue on with steps 2-6. No more having to do single replies to each & every post made!
She taught me everything I know!!!
