Here's an interesting concept - advertise on people's Thank you pages.
Think about it - the customers are perfect:
1. They have money to spend (they've just spent some),
2. They are very interested in whatever you're selling
(they've just bought something on a similar subject),
3. They have bought something on the Internet before
(about 30 seconds ago),
4. They already have their credit card out and they are
in that "buying mood" today.
And no need to ask lots of people if you can use their pages, there's a system set up already!

I haven't tried this so i'd be interested to see what people think.

Just realised -it's an affiliate link. It's up to you whether you click that address or just type in the basic .com address - I'm just jealous because it's not MY affiliate link!

You are just looking? Or have you given it a try? I would like to know how it goes. :yup:

I agree that it is a great to target serious buyers but I'd like to see some concrete stats on the return. How many buyers who see the thank you ads are actually visiting the linked sites and out of those buyers, how many actually purchase something?
The notion that thank you ads are not annoying is something that might be worth investigating further. Perhaps a focus group. What this guy says about them on the website you linked us to is his opinion, but I don't see anything about studies that have been done.
When it comes to advertising on the web, I don't think you are taking the right approach there, Endurance. It's a three-step process...
1. Get sucked into the hype
2. Pony up the cash.
3. Try to figure out what went wrong.
:D
Note: I'm not knocking this particular program, as I have no experience with it either way.

Tom, I agree with you on that. I was trying to give the idea the benefit of the doubt, but your assessment is dead-on in my opinion.

just a quick question to you.
what is BLOGS and RRS. It's everywhere and according to some gurus, it'll revolutionize the web, build huge traffic.....
What does that means?
Thanks
Emmanuel
Emmanuel, Blogs = Web Logs. Sort of like online diaries or journals, but they can be used for virtually anything really. RSS is a tool to syndicate your content so that other blogs/sites can pick it up. I think most blog software has RSS already built into it. A good free one is wordpress (http://wordpress.org/). If you want to see a bunch of existing blogs and find out more about them, blogarama (http://www.blogarama.com/) has a whole bunch of stuff. Hope that helps. :)
