View Full Version : Good morning from Colorado
Endurance 07-01-2004, 04:57 AM Hi all.
Stumbled up this website while doing a search on defintions and other interpretation of success.
Over the last few years I have been on an upward path towards creating the successful life that I want and I am just about there. Now I just need my dream girl and my vacation home and I will be set! :) In the meantime I plan to keep on working towards my goals and keep setting new ones.
This looks a good place to meet some like-minded guys (and gals) to keep the energy focused.
I look forward to getting to know you all.
-Seth
Welcome Seth! Nice to have you here. :)
David 07-01-2004, 10:13 AM Seth,
Greetings from Dallas, Texas. :tiphat:
What part of CO. do you reside in?
Endurance 07-01-2004, 03:52 PM Seth,

Hi David.I live in Fort Collins. Its about an hour north of Denver and 40 minutes south of Cheyenne, WY.
I have not been to Dallas in a few years. Nice city. I remember seeing a lot of very nice homes when I was down there. My sister and her husband were living there at the time but have since moved to Portland but wants to move to Austin now. Haven't been there yet and heard great things about it.

I have a multiude of relatives that live in CO. Namely, Denver, Littleton, and Manitou Springs. I've been wanting to move to Colorado Springs for some time, but finances prohibit me from making the move.
My Aunt and Uncle own a bed and breakfast in Manitou Springs.
Spring Cottage (http://www.springcottage.com/)
Once you find your dream girl may I suggest you contact my Aunt an Uncle at Spring Cottage. They have a wonderful wedding suite next to their bed and breakfast.
My Aunt is the absolute best hostest you'll ever meet. They'll treat you and you loved one like a King and Queen.
You can get the details at the link I've provided above.
I went on a vacation with my girl friend up to CO. a couple of years ago and loved it up there. Can't wait to find my way back.
Endurance 07-02-2004, 03:27 AM David,
Looks like your aunt and uncle have a nice setup there. I will have to make a visit to the B&B when I find that dream girl and I will pass along the weblink to some of my friends who do have that dream girl already. I've got a few buddies who are always looking for an easy weekend getaway. Somewhere within driving distance, but something a little of the beaten path.

MantaRayz 07-03-2004, 04:56 AM Aloha Endurance!
I have a friend in Ft Collins. Maybe you'll meet her sometime! Meredith. Shes a Foxy lil Minx! Studying Interior Design at Ram U.
Endurance 07-03-2004, 03:03 PM I am sure she is a great catch MantaRayz but if she if she is in school she may be to young for me. Not that age is the most critical factor, but anything younger than 22 is probably asking for trouble.
maybe she has an older sister?

maybe she has an older sister?Who sez shes not the older sister? :bouncy: Meredith is 29. Shes studing for a career shift.
But alas ..... not introductions. Maybe you'll bump into her sometime. Ft Collins is't that big, is it? Certainly smaller than Sunny San Diego!
Sometimes OVER 22 is askin' for trouble too! ;)
MeredithinCO 07-05-2004, 12:32 AM Its a small town, but apparently not as small as the net! ;)
Hiya Manta. Foxy Minx? :lildevil: Why thank you!

txdave 09-23-2006, 05:07 PM sweet beginnings are part of my interests in how to advise people on how to be more successful.
I came across this forum and hope to learn more here about how I can use my own sites as a life coach to help people achieve more success.
I hope to see how people on this board define success and what gets in their way of the success they want, as it should help me improve my help to others who read my blogs on success, assertiveness, and selling successfully.
I'm in Dallas TX and have also lived in Boston, Austin, San Francisco and New Orleans, but that was all a long time ago in younger, more nomadic days.
thnks dave
Dave,
I trust you will receive some insights here and I'm sure you've seen posts by another coach!
Success comes in many shapes and sizes. The best to you as you seek to engage others in the process of becoming who they will to become...
With your help,
Capitalizing on their gifts, abilities and motivations,
And doing so within mutually agreed time frames.
Go get 'em!

txdave 09-23-2006, 06:25 PM One of the things that does interest me is what you mentioned, i.e., adapting different styles of advice re: success for different people.
That is vital when you are giving advice on a blog as opposed to face to face.
I hope to learn a lot here.

Hi Dave and welcome. :tiphat:
Seems like you dug up an old thread!
txdave 09-24-2006, 11:10 PM Seems as if you and I have some of the same interests.
I like your blog and the points you make.
I have 2 blogs about similar topics and would be so grateful if you and others who might be interested would give me some feedback on the blogs and/or on the forum.
I'm especially interested in promoting development of self-confidence and am trying to make these blogs sort of virtual life coaches, in a general sort of way.

I like the Brownies for Breakfast blog (even though I think I'll pass on actually having brownies for breakfast--I'll find some other sweet way to start my day!)
We're all very success-minded here I have noticed. That is a very good thing!
I have a presentation on success on my site and I've started a blog there just recently.
I'll keep reading Brownies for Breakfast. I noticed that for 10 years you were an ergonomic consultant--my shoulders and neck get real tight from sitting at the computer all day!
I notice you have Google Adsense on the blog. How is that working for you?

txdave 09-26-2006, 12:27 PM Google Adsense not big $$ yet, but I'm hopeful.
I can help with your shoulder, neck pain. I have 2 back sites you might look at for help, but first
try to keep your arms on your armrests whenever on the computer keyboard, as that (when you don't do it) can cause neck, shoulder pain.
Also, important to have the arms of your chair at the right height, never reach up for the keyboard, stay even with your hands or a little lower.
For more see
http://backbebetter.blogspot.com
http://achingbackrelaxed.blogspot.com
both are on sidebar of brownies for breakfast.
Let me know if any of that helps, if not, we'll figure it out and get you feeling better.
I am still an ergonomic consultant and enjoy that aspect of my work.
Thanks so much for reading my blogs.
dave
Karly 09-26-2006, 01:05 PM Wow, thanks for the tips. I will try them. Today my shoulders and neck feel good but I know that it comes back again so now I will have some things to try!
