you're going to have to show me some science. I am a tough crown in the Functional Beverage world and there are more gimmicks out there than real products.
Show me what you got :lildevil:
thinktom 02-22-2007, 10:11 PM My Father-in-law is 65 and is a Dr. and his father lived to be 93 and he was a Doctor. 93 would be old enough for me.
Tom, Scooter...
Just caught this on way to school: good points, LOL!
A year or two ago when I began taking the Gogi I read a lot
of the literature, etc: mostly from the site and a few other
resources as I remember.
Honestly, the best I could do would be to suggest to begin
here where they tell the "Gogi Story", introduce Dr.
Mindell's discovery, etc, etc.
I believe that's about all I read -- along with some
literature I had back when I began taking it.
I pretty much took what they said at face value and decided
to try it.

For now what's on the site is really all I know of at the
moment. As mentioned: I read it, talked to a relative about
it, liked what I saw, and just began taking it.
That's really pretty much "all I got" as you would say.

..
Yes and No. I know many doctors in my parents neighborhood who are older than my parents, so let's say 90s. And no, I've never heard one single story of very old Tibetans. Have you?

There are, however very old Chinese that have long life and incredible stamina but they know part of that story and its not due to Goji. In fact its due to a local mushroom that they eat called a cordyceps. Its the same mushroom that got the Chinese Olympic team in trouble because they thought they were doping and it turned out they were eating a different kind of magic mushroom.
Whenever I see someone pushing a new beverage I go right back to Noni Juice. Noni is a fruit with almost NO nutritional value and NASTY taste. Less vitamins than lemon juice. I guess it goes back to the old fallacy, if it tastes like **** then it must be good for you.
I want to see proof, science, measurement, double blind studies. Then its real!
Obviously there is none of that here or I would have seen it by now.
Scooter
Hi,
Again, points I cannot argue and really am not out to prove.
I honestly don't know.
As mentioned...
I saw it,
Appreciated what I saw,
Pretty much accepted what the company said (i.e. enough to try it)
And then tried it out and have been taking the supplement.
But...
Thanks for sharing, though.

Scooter 02-23-2007, 01:35 PM Ha, I just looked up Goji, Its Lycium of of the four vegetables in G3, G3 is Gac juice plus three other super fruits. Lycium being one of them. Very high in vitamin C so there is some proof because Pharmanex has done endless studies on this fruit and measures it.
The unique combination of phytonutrients in g3 is derived from carefully selected "Super Fruits" traditionally used throughout the world for their restorative properties and whose benefits have been validated through scientific study. Chinese Lycium fruit (or Wolfberry or Goji), Siberian Pineapple, and Cili fruit work synergistically with Gac to provide exponential benefit through strong vascular and cellular protection and rejuvenation in the body.
So lee, there is validity behind your story.
Jennihul 02-23-2007, 06:18 PM I have goji berries. They are great on salads.
Scoot, any idea of their shelf life if kept sealed and in a dark pantry.

This particular type of Goji juice is also very high in anti-oxydents, and is made in non-pasturized standardized facility. The company has secured the rights to about 1200 acres of this strain of Wofberry trees, and has the first-say right to about that same number of areas for future growth and development of additional orchards.
Am I a distributor? No, but I am evaluating it as a part of my training campaign. Why? You wanna buy some? :D

JenniferWhole Raw or dried?
Dried - about 2 weeks.
Raw - about 2 hours.
Scooter 02-23-2007, 07:21 PM Why? You wanna buy some? :D
Not me! I got the GAC Attack!:guiness:
I sell G3 so it makes no sense for me to drink a competetors product but I am impressed that it is a juice with Value. Lycium is a great fruit.
Jenni, I can't speak to the fresh fruit but I can tell you that G3 makes a great healthy vinigarette ;)
Jennihul 02-24-2007, 09:51 AM Does anyone sell unpasteurized Goji juice? I don't think that's even legal in the US anymore. What does the heating do to the nutritional value?

Yeah i was buying Goji juice well over a year ago, but i had to stop due to the fact that youve virtually gotta mortgage your home just to afford to keep buying it.
Drinks of this ilk always end up costing way too much for the average person to afford. Some may say, well yes, if you value your health you will find a way, but there comes a point where when you value your health so much and you have already spent/spend so much to keep your body healthy that you eventually need to draw the line at $60 a bottle that only lasts 2 weeks.
When im driving a BMW i will get back to you, but for now while im still driving my 1990 Commodore, i will give it a miss.
