Here's a great one I did read in a magazine but I was actually doing already when I read it.

When you've finished rinsing off in the shower, while the water's still running, turn it to cold. Not so cold that it makes you short of breath, but just cold enough so that you know it's cold. You know, so it has a "bite" to it. Slowly cool it if you have the time, or just blast it round.

As well as closing your pores and helping to prevent colds and similar illnesses, it'll make you feel incredibly refreshed. Much better than the hot, dizzy, flustered feeling you often get when getting out of a hot shower or bath. I do this all the time now, I can't not do it. It makes you feel great!

Interesting. I usually do this out of default. My showers are too long and I run out of hot water.
