I'm curious to know if anyone has done the Body For Life Program by Bill Phillips? If you are not familiar with this program, it is a 12 week physical strength training program to transform your body. Follow the link for more info. Body For Life (http://www.bodyforlife.com/)

I am one week into it and am curious to hear from anyone who has done this program. Was it successful for you? Did you modify the program? I am modifying the program to include aerobic everyday rather than every other day and I am doing 60 mins. aerobic rather than 20 mins.

So how is the additonal 40 mins. working out for you? I recently bumped my aerobics up from 30 to 40 mins. and it made a big difference in the endorphine release, and was considering jumping up to 60 mins.

David, I am only one week into the program but I can tell you that I am hooked on the extra cardio. Today was supposed to be my "free day" meaning no exercise but I went to the gym and did 60 mins cardio because I LOVE the way I feel afterwards. The endorphine release is better than any anti-depressant and I feel more empowered, more energetic, more successful, etc. I am far more productive after a workout.

If you are considernig jumping up to 60, why not go for it and if it doesn't feel good, go back to what you are doing now.

The TR boards? well, to be honest ..... there are a lot of people that seem to think it OK to post inciting (not insightful) post that they know will inflame others. For people that claim skills and abilities and caring and compassion ..... I find many of them to be more interested in the art of arguing than in the pursuit of growth and wisdom.

on the other hand .....
There are many people that are a joy and delight to talk with. I've met many really incredible people as a result of being there. If interested, check it out! http://www.tonyrobbins.com/community/index.php?s= (http://www.tonyrobbins.com/community/index.php?s) I know several come over here frequently. M is one of 'em.

Mantarayz,

I am doing moderate intensity usually a combo of eliptical/stairs/or treadmill. I did some research and have heard that for the BFL program, if you do 20 mins high intensity, you can add 20 mins moderate if you feel the need to "tweak" the program. any more would be counter-productive to fat loss because your body would start losing muscle.

I figure that since I'm only doing moderate intensity, I can do 60 mins. because that equals one 20 min high intensity and one 20 min moderate intensity. This is probably wrong I am sure but this is the logic that I am going with for now. lol. :bonk:
