Gentlemen you may say to yourself: "the pet thread!?," how does this fit into the relationship forum? Ask any woman, and the first response your going get is a BIG smile and and soulish and resounding yes! from deep down inside that says," now this man knows about relations.

Recent studies were conducted that suggest that pets, especially dogs are chick magnets. What red blooded man would not want that? This is a forum about success, right gentlemen?

How could anyone, weather male or female, exclude humanities greatest and most cherished companion from the subject of success?

The pet. It's more than just "The Pet." As I speak, mine is stirring to break free of the front door. Yes ladies, if you said it's a cat you are correct.

Miles is his name and he is my kitty by default, and I gladly let him hang out with me.

The last people to live in my apartment left him behind. probably because Miles said to himself " I'm not leaving so I am going to hide until my new owners move in," and made himself unavailable to move. Well, Miles new care takers finally arrived.

I would describe Miles as a big fat black old cat with long hair who loves to attract new people with his calm and patient demeanor and human-like personality. He is sitting at my feet right now as if to say, "I captured you," kinda like women do. I feel like a sucker. :D

If women and pets knew how much power they have.

(Pause... 30 minutes later.)

Miles has figured me out. But I think Miles is a push over. The bottom line is.... I got you and you got me. :D

If only modern Doctors were as smart as Miles we would have fewer health problems, drug companies would go out of business and the health industry would be modified to the benefit of society, or at least be selling less Prozac.

Even though cats are nocturnal it's 1AM and miles is fast asleep at mt feet.

I love you kitty!

I love Jenny too!

To be continued.

Holy smokes some body needs to trim Miles claws because that hurt.

Jenny please remind me to never to wake a cat up in the middle of the night. Especially a BIG fat black cat.

A Pet Thread! Great idea.... :thumb:

I was actually watching a men's show the other night. They were talking about animals, like you were in your first post. A recent poll they quoted said women were more drawn to men who had a pet, rather than kids. A woman sees a man with kids and assumes he is taken. A woman who sees a man with a dog in the park, is more likely to talk to him. The women also tend to view the men with dogs as good potential mates and fathers!

My 2 cats are pretty easy going, and like almost everyone they come into contact with. So if my cats really didn't like someone, it would certainly make me question why....

Cats are the best aren't they? I have two and they make me laugh everyday. They're always happy to see me and they love me unconditionally

Dogs are only chick magnets if the chick likes dogs.....I am a dyed-in-the-wool cat person. :cat:

I have two 4-year-old kitties who are littermates....a tortoise-shell calico named Rascal and a solid black named Pepper. They were actually born 36 hours apart and the vet told me they probably had two different fathers. Pepper's hair is about 3 inches long and as soft as silk. She is very quiet and sweet. If I had seen the movie "School of Rock" before I knew Rascal, I would have named her 'Spazzy McGee'.

I love my kitties....and they love me.
