Does anyone actually unsubscribe and if so, what exactly happens when you unsubscribe??

When you hit unsubscribe, it just means you won't get anymore email notifications of when someone replies to that thread anymore. Good for when you tire of a certain thread or are getting TOO many notifications. I have to unsubscribe to a lot, just to keep up with the current ones I read. Others, I never unsubscribe from. It's okay, nothing bad will happen. If you chose to unsubscribe from a thread, the moment you post to it again - you will be subscribed to the thread again. Unless that is, you have that option turned off in your user cp....

Hitting reply, just takes you to a quick way to post a reply to that thread.

By the way I don't unsubscribe from the user cp, I unsubscribe from the email notification directly. There is an option with every email notification to unsubscribe at the bottom of those emails from the vibe. That is how I do it.

If you click unsubscribe you will stop getting notified when there are new posts to the thread. By default, when you reply in a thread, you're subscribed. That is why you get notification of new posts.

you can also set it in your options not to subscribe or be notified when someone posts.

Thats exactly what I did, a long time ago. I never receive anything in my email box except for actual PM's. So I guess I don't need to unsubscribe.
