My husband and I had a garage sale today.....we did really well too! :yippee: It feels good to get rid of junk you don't need. :D It also helps you to be more organized and clutter free. ;) And it always feels good to make some extra cash...... :money:

When is the last time you had a garage sale? Maybe it's time to start thinking about it...:thumb:

Garage sales are very time consuming and exhausting, good for you for getting it done.

I need to have one, someday.... maybe next year? I say that every year. I just can't imagine finding the time to sit there, I would need to do it on one of my weeks off.

It's great to hear yours was so successful and so much fun for you, Kimberly! :thumb:

I've had two in the last two months, but they were mainly for the benefit of my son and his fiance. They have a lot to get rid of but no garage to have a sale in. I was excited about the prospect at first, because a two-family sale offers much more variety and can draw in more people. Then they brought over their stuff...90% adult clothes and tons of them! They took up so much space I didn't have much space left for MY stuff. And most people don't go to garage sales to buy used adult clothing - there's Savers & Goodwill for that. But they ended up manning the sales for the most part anyway cuz I work every Saturday.

I'm moving to a smaller place in 4 weeks and undoubtedly will find a lot to get rid of. If I can get enough decent stuff for a new sale, and get someone to man the sale for me I may give it another shot. I've always enjoyed garage sales because of getting to talk to all the shoppers, so this part is kind of a bummer for me :(.

Garage sales are very time consuming and exhausting, good for you for getting it done.It actually wasn't that bad. If you prepare ahead of time, it's a lot easier. And we just did it for one day. I even sold some of my painted products which was pretty cool. :thumb:

Plus it's fun to chat with your neighbors and all of those die hard garage sale folks. :p It's pretty fun to negotiate prices too. :D

Our neighbors were having a garage sale too and I was suprised at all of the clothes & shoes they were selling. But then I realized.....why didn't I put out some of my clothes that I'm no longer wearing? :hmm: (trust me, I have a TON!!!!) :D A lot of people were buying their clothes & shoes which suprised me. They did quite well! Looks like I'll be taking mine to Goodwill again. :thumb:

There are some very interesting people out there. :D

All in all, it feels good to get rid of "stuff" and get a little more clutter free & organized. ;)
