View Full Version : What would your dream job be?

I should change that to what would your ideal job be. Because I mean something that's attainable. Like if your dream job is to be the Pres. of the U.S., and you aren't even a US citizen, well you're just dreaming. So what would be your ideal job, one that's actually possible? I'm not sure about mine. I have it narrowed down to 2 choices. But when I make my final decision, I'm going all out for it.

Goalguy,

It's not enough to be a US citizen if you want to become the president, you have to be born in the US too.

For example, Schwarzenegger the governor of California can
t run for presidency since he wasn't born in the US.

Yeah I understand that, but certainly you can't be the Pres. if you aren't even a citizen, whether you're born here or not. If you want, you can change it to read "Like if your dream job is to be the Pres. of the U.S., and you aren't even born in the US, well you're just dreaming." ;)

Hmmm...Does ideal business count? Because I have no interest whatsoever in jobs any more. The only ideal job for me is no job.

Mine would definitely be a business. But I haven't figured out what kind yet. One where I could do it from home.

Ok, well I would say my ideal business would be website owner. What I mean, is to have a large enough network of sites, so that the take from ad revenue, memberships, purchases, etc., amounts to a fat full-time income.

My ideal job would be one in which I make a huge difference in people's lives, and make a difference worldwide. I would also like something involving coaching and teaching.

The one thing I would want to be REALLY successful at would be Father /Husband.

If I am good there then the world is going to be a better place many generations down the road.

I hope that you meet a special woman to help make this a reality. You're a pretty awesome guy, David! :thumb:

what would your ideal job be.

I think in finding the right answer you've got to ask the right question. Even by saying 'what would your ideal job be?' the question assumes it's something that's always going to be in the future. It implies your ideal job will always be unattainable & out of reach.

A better question could be
'What are you doing today to live your dream job?' I think you have to bring your dream job into your present life & do what you can now. The more action you take actually doing your dream job, the faster you'll be living it full-time & not just casually. Petra X

Would in the question refers to an imaginary situation, it refers to the present and fututre, or the past depending on the gramatical structure.

If i could (past) have any job, I would (+ plus present simple) be,have, do, etc : this structure refers to an imaginary situation in the present or future

If I had (past participle) had a million, I would have (+past participle) been happy : This refers to a past imaginary situation.

Just playing with you PetraPortland. Watch your language :biglaugh:

Doesn't this just loop back to core values and who you are?
If you love what you are doing it is in alignment with your values if you don't, it isn't.

Me, I want to be supported in traveling around the world going to wild and exotic places helping people as I go and educating about these strange and wonderful places. Maybe the Job Title would be Philanthropist Man or Man vs. 3rd World.
