I realized I need to rearrange the whole house as it is already boring... While in a bookstore looking for a good housekeeping magazine, I came across a Feng shui book that tells about proper arrangement of your house furniture in such a manner that positive energies will be able to come in and therefore inviting abundance. Is it really true? Anybody who had tried it and had experienced any difference?

I never heard of that but I find it very interesting.

I'm interested in hearing what you've learned about it.

There is nothing wrong to believe in Feng Shui though I am not so much into it, but I know someone who believes in Feng-shui and so far they are in a nice and good level :)

I'm not into Feng Shui. Too much of it seems dependent on the house layout which is beyond my control. However, Feng Shui also looks favourably on house plants which I love!

With any philosophy, I think you should take some and leave some.

There are elements of Feng Shui that I have found particularly useful in designing client's homes.

For instance, furniture arrangement, such as never having your headboard along the wall that the door to a room is on. Arrange your office so that your back is not to the door when you are working, etc.

I also find that the principles regarding not having dead things (like fake plants) and old, broken items or items that no longer serve a purpose can help to free your unconscious mind.

However, I do not believe that having a water fountain in your "money" corner is of any use in bringing about money, nor does having candles in your passion corner ignite more passion in your life. In other words, put you candles where it makes sense based on the function of the space. If you want a water fountain in your home, great. If you don't, then don't sweat it. I also wouldn't worry too much about having to keep your toilet seat closed at all times for fear of the positive chi escaping the room. That's silly...not to mention, how are your cats supposed to get their drinking water if the seat is closed?

I think it's a load of nonsense. I read a book in China about it.. at first out of interest.. then for a few laughs before hitting the sack. How close or far your home is from a hill will not transform your life.

http://www.signsfunny.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/feng-shui-erotic.jpg~ Simple unpretentious presentation, but dated by several decades. Probably stalls creativity, innovation, fresh thinking or inSpiration in the business.
~ Understated, sterile, owner probably does little if any advertising or business awareness.
~ Clean and neat parking area, no stains on parking surface, but too much concrete, no Natural earth into which one can wriggle their toes.
~ Entry Door appears to be in or adjacent the SouthEast corner, the Success and Prosperity corner. At minimum, it is on the south, the Collaboration and Communication and Relationship corner/facet.
~ The windows are square, not a more natural and pleasing 1-to-1.62 design. (the Golden Mean Ratio)
~ Good southern alignment and exposure.
~ Interesting "keyhole" above the entry door, allowing the face of the building a little bit of "breath."
~ Parking lines attracting and directing bad Chi into the face of the building, with no natural buffers.
~ No "Welcome" mat attracting customers.
~ Business name on sign cannot read when approaching the building/business, hiding skills and talents from potential customers.

why? what were you thinking "it" meant?

How close or far your home is from a hill will not transform your life. There is quite a bit more to 'it' than just that, but the coil of the Dragon is a mighty powerful and auspicious alignment and talisman. however, with that said, I'm 110% positive you are right, it will not affect your life, but I know that, among dozens of other elements and alignments, absolutely does affect mine.

Does Feng Shui work? In February, earlier this year, I decided to activate all my auspicious directions and alignments, talked with my Wise Ones, aligned several crystals, placed several focused attentions into the YoUniverse, and let "it" all go.

In April, I moved to Phoenix, with no place to call home. Got to town after dark, too late to look at the two places I was thinking of renting. Found a Starbucks so I could catch-up on emails, look at CraigsList ads again etc.

While looking at CraigsList, a guy posted a 2-line ad that read something like "2 Bed, 1.5 Bath TownHouse, Pay my past HOA fees & Taxes and I'll give you the Deed." I replied to him "Is this serious?" and gave my phone number.
Got a call the following day. no introduction, no 'hello', instead "Yes, I am serious." got the address, drove over and looked at it, which is where I'm living today - 2 Bed, 1.5 bath Townhouse, for which I'll pay about $3000 over the course of the next 5 years ($70 per month, 2% interest)

Angels and Feng Shui ..... Prayers and Intentions ..... Wizardry and Love ..... do they "work"? As the old saying goes, "If you have to ask ........... "

Merry is right, especially regarding things that are broken, and in general about the 'fake' plants...they have to be cared for, and I'll bet there's a way to surround them with living energy so that they can be a good addition to your home (in moderation.)

I have a beautiful silk arrangement that I made myself about 6 years ago, Gina...I will take a photo of it and post it here. I make sure that the leaves are dusted/wiped down and that the flowers are positioned in a way that creates a positive feeling whenever I look at the arrangement. I have moved house 6 times in 5 years and each house 'speaks' to me and tells me where that arrangement should go. I do have one silk plant also that sits high on top of an antique armoire, but I wash the leaves regularly also. My arrangement is set in a beautiful colored-glass vase with river rocks in the bottom...those are natural materials that make me feel good, so I'm not sure if it's the best Feng Shui in the world, but it works for me...LOL!
