Here it is:
- Jog one mile or more for 26 of the next 30 days
- Consume NO fried foods, candy, or drinks with corn syrup for 6 out of 7 days each week. I'll give myself one free day each week.
What this will do is help me develop some better habits. It will LIKELY result in my losing 10 or more pounds during the month, maybe more.

awesome! thanks for joining with me in a challenge. those are great goals. I am sure by cutting those things out, you will drop 10 pounds in no time at all.
I keep seeing those commercials that say that corn syrup is just the same as regular syrup and that the body doesn't know the difference. I don't know enough about it to really speak about this, but I am mildly hypoglycemic and I can tell you firsthand that my body definitely recognizes a difference between high fructose corn syrup and regular sugar, although there are times when even an apple can give me a reaction so who knows. What do you think? Do you notice a difference?
ps. why is that fried food tastes so damn good?! aside from french fries and tortilla chips, I hadn't had any fried food in over a year until last month when I went to Boston and I got an order of fried scallops. and then another. and another. and another. and then I moved on to fried lobster and fried oysters. that is good stuff!! not so good for the body though. I packed on some fat after that trip, my skin broke out, my heart was beating weird, and I didn't feel so good for a few weeks after. I'm still having to undo the damage from that trip. It was a lot of fun though, but I went overboard with the fried food.

Totally support what you're doing man!
What I found successful for me was to actually join soccer because so much running is involved and I find jogging very boring even with the ipod because there's no competition and soccer pushes me to play hard with me team.
I hope what you're doing works because once you ditch corn syrup you're body will change dramatically within days in definition it's really cool actually and I think that adds to a lot of the motivation to continue on this healthy habit.
Good luck!
