View Full Version : If your life was a book...
rwaforums 04-14-2004, 03:42 PM As the title says, if your life was a book what type would it be?
Mine would have to be a sci-fi/fantasy a bit like the twilight zone, just basically :cookoo:
Mine would have to be the kind that you take to bed with you so you can fall asleep. :D
OneMore 04-15-2004, 11:22 PM Mine would be a tragedy.

LOL... It surely can't be that bad, Tom ;)
I don't know what genre mine would fit into, but there would be plenty of should've, could've and would'ves. :p

Thanks for the encourgement, but it's kinda what I'm going for at this point in my life. :)
I did a lot of hard and fast living as a young man, and if I'm not done, I'm at least taking a breather. :)

I'm sure its well deserved :)
IAFPO 04-17-2004, 01:15 AM Mine would be an inspirational story of someone who had a hard childhood who got past all the negative stuff and made a huge difference in the world.
Antiphrasis 04-18-2004, 03:23 AM Mine would probably be a story with no beginning and no end, with eternal searching for answers. Tragic at times, happy at times, and full of dark humor. Sort of like Catcher in the Rye.

Nice!
Sort of like Catcher in the Rye.
Favorite book when I was a teenager!!
Antiphrasis 04-18-2004, 03:40 AM Tom,
That book is great. I've read one other book by Salinger, but it wasn't as good. A tortured book...
Yeah, I read all of his books back then. I think he only wrote like 4 books, and then I guess he became a recluse.
Antiphrasis 04-18-2004, 03:50 AM Yeah, I heard about that. But didn't he recently write a new book? I remeber hearing something on the news. I'll have to check online.
If he did, it's the first I've heard about it.
Antiphrasis 04-18-2004, 04:13 AM Hmm, I must have been mistaken... I remember seeing him on the news for something a couple of years ago...
Scarlet Warrior 04-18-2004, 07:36 PM Catcher in the Rye is a classic. I remember studying it at school... It was also one of my favourites.
Goalguy 04-21-2004, 09:51 PM Mine would be a book about a man who relentlessly pursues his goals. I don't know what kind of book that would be. An inpsiring one I think.

So Tom, tell us a little bit more about your past.
Back in TONYLAND ,
we used to know EVERYTHING
about our Master. :worship:
Funnysoul 11-18-2006, 09:12 PM Oh...and to answer the question,
it would be "Life For Dummies."

Cat Lover 11-18-2006, 10:21 PM If my life was a book genre, it would have to be horror that turns into comedy! :crosseye:

Well I'm not proud of it, by any means, but I ran with a very viscious street gang.
Here's a photo of us taken under surveillance by the LA County Sherriffs Dept.
I'm the one in front on the far right.

Awake at Last 11-19-2006, 08:00 AM The Gypsy Jokers huh?
Yikes!! I've heard nothing but bad things about that gang! Good thing Tom got out in time.............
Awake at Last 11-19-2006, 08:17 AM Hmmmmm.....good question :hmm: ! I suppose my genre would be drama. It would start out very simple and ordinary, with some nasty rebellion during my teens & early twenties :nono: . But the part that's coming up - the part I'm in the middle of - where I make massive transformations in my life and go on to be a very successful businesswoman, philanthropist, and motivator will be VERY EXCITING:woohoo:
So I guess in the end it will be a MOTIVATIONAL book! :applause:
joanne1216 11-19-2006, 08:51 AM Mine would be like a soap opera.....boys, boys, boys, marriage, divorce, and more boys.
Karly 11-19-2006, 10:32 AM Wow... I'm the lucky one!
My story goes from miserable young woman and divorced mom of small boy getting my electricity turned off for non-payment and wondering how I could feed him, who made many mistakes by following what was expected by other people and the world to finally......
learning to follow my own call, my own heart and creating an amazing Love Story complete with handsome, loving prince, 3 beautiful princesses (all conceived after age 37), wonderful castle in the suburbs with huge Christmas tree in foyer and many more big dreams to fulfill and the knowledge to know that they can all come true.
Wow, I am lucky. Thank you for putting me back into my favorite place....
Gratitude Mode!
