View Full Version : Simpleology: The Simple Science to Getting What You Want
Chris_Titan 04-11-2006, 06:38 AM I just made this 30 sec. movie to illustrate a point about the daily praxis that I have learned from Mark Joyner.
I will talk about it more later when I have been around longer...until then I really hope this makes you laugh while you learn...

Chris_Titan 04-19-2006, 01:47 AM People are ashamed of their Power! :cookoo:
We have three primary sources of power. Energy is the most important
one.
Do you have to have something good happening to be full of energy? Are
you ashamed to feel great when you are broke? It is hard to feel good
when we are worried about money. The stress tends to make us ill over
time.
How can you have Power when you feel overwhealmed?
How can you not worry about money even when you are broke?
Would it be something that would interest you?
I don't know how else to frame my experience with Simpleology other
than to begin with a old time wagonshow rant. When I first started
working with Mark Joyner's online course back in August of 2005 I did
it to waste time really. "Escape Into Control" is meme I have
manufactured and I was working on it at the time. Find ways to waste
time that build your skills. Neurocam, Empire Building Video Games, Odd
Science Fiction and other things have had great success to gain control
of life by escaping. But that is a diversion. I found Mark Joyner from
a rant by Howard Campbell the author of Poker Without Cards.
I am sure you will have the same thoughts I did. This looks like
someone is trying to sell me something. They are eventually but there
is no need to worry about that. If you do not like Simpleology and it
does not change your life then you will have only wasted your time
trying to improve yourself. Better than wasting your time getting
wasted. Or watching TV.
I am not rich. I am not as broke as I was in August but I am not as
worried or as defeated as I was either. I feel better. I am doing
SOMETHING everyday to take a step to getting what I want from life. I
do not worry about failure of the entire situation. I have learned to
make it simple and for a lazy person this makes it easier. I am not
stuck. I am not sick and tired.
I have been talking about this and have heard a few of the most
serious criticisms. That this is nothing new. Think and Grow Rich does
have similarities to Simpleology, but when I read that it was just
another book on will power. Simpleology 101 has this 30 day course
(that took me longer but I kept coming back to it) where you watch a
short movie and answer some questions in a workbook. It takes like five
mins. and it like a short pep talk. Mark has this way of making you
feel like he is saying "it is right here in front of your eyes...I
hardly have to show you" in a friendly way that makes you want to step
out on your desire.
After about a week I had to start again because I finally had a clear
desire that I could feel in my bones. How long had that been? I had
some trust that I might be able to accomplish a desire without getting
crushed...if it was a small simple desire that led to a bigger desire
getting accomplished.
A few weeks went by and I was not rich...any richer at all, but I felt
different. I actually felt like looking for a job. I started to look at
the paper and made a particular type of job my target. I had a few
small targets to work on before I really could get a job I wanted. So I
took odd jobs and saved my money to buy new work clothes. I wanted an
office job and had not had one in a few years. I had no slacks or
shirts that would be proper. I kept visualizing the job and looking in
the paper. I collected a set of interview clothes and had sent out some
resumes but did not have any luck. I went into a spiral and blew it all
off...what a waste of time.
I felt worse and worse and one day decided to look at the e-mail the
Mark Joyner sent me and went and started Simpleology 102 all about
Money Power. I realized I was on the right track and refocused my
desire on coming up with the winning resume. I found some tips and
stuff from Mark Joyner at his website on how to market yourself and
make irresistible proposals. Reworking 101 again and learning 102 put
me in a frenzy of activity. I started cold calling places that I would
want to work and double checking on resumes that I had sent. I was
magnetized to my desire like I have seldom experienced.
Then I got a break. I had an interview at a great local company and it
went smashing. I was able to use my skills to deal with management from
Neurocam and speak the language of long range plans and have real
enthusiasm for the ideas from Simpleology. "Escape Into Control" was
working perfectly. It was like because I could see clearly the ideas
the interviewer had about the future he liked me...we shared a vision.
I only visualized what he wanted and felt how good that would feel. I
think it was that feeling that he really liked.
There I was the same broke guy I had been, wearing a set of clothes
that I worked a few weeks for with average skills...but the MAN was
looking at me like I was special. This was a very Powerful feeling.
I realized that I had been ashamed of myself for a very long time. Even
when I was working on projects I did not feel the success or energy in
it. These projects never succeed. I had visualized the success for long
enough to feel it in my bones...to draw it toward me at incredible
speed.
The reason I feel compelled to go on about this is because it is so
simple that you can miss it...or dismiss it. Huge Mistake. You have to
sit with it over time and let it charge your battery slowly. He is not
a wagon-showman like me...who has to get it out in one rant.
Now I have a crummy job...and I already hate it of course. I am looking
forward. I am taking small steps everyday to get out of this job and
into another one. I am not stuck. I am almost willing to go to school,
but I know that is more that 15 mins a day.
Mark Joyner has a great community to "Escape Into Control" with. There
are marketing tips and health tips. To have the energy it takes to
succeed you have to feel good.
Holistic Energy Management?
Simpleology: Where you Kill time...and then you can eat it.
I doubt that will be their new motto but it should be or something to
that effect.
If you are a busy successful person and you want to waste some
time...this is only going to make it easier to have more time to waste.
When you have Money...what you want is Time.
If you are a miserable bum who has a noose hanging in the
closet...just waste some time and see if you don't rediscover the
mobilization of your deepest energies.
I don't care who you are, if you escape from your stress or waste time
with Simpleology chances are you will feel better and be more wealthy
before you are done with the course work.
Uggg, I ranted longer than I wanted to. I just had to blow off steam...

Mark Joyner, Mark Joyner... who gives a rip! Okay, I get the whole concept of promoting your products and services by joining various forums where your customers hang out, but gimme a break!!! Do you have to be so overt?

Hi Chris,
I just got done with the 20 push-ups I owed you. I am really not trying to be negative, just honest. It would appear that about 600 or more people before me had the idea to hang out in a success forum where potential customers/clients might be talking. But, I'm a rules guy, so when the sign says no advertising, I don't. So I decided to stay here anyway for the benefit of getting into some serious discussions about success (which is my line of work if you haven't already deduced that).
What I discovered right off the bat, was a whole bunch of folks advertising! So, I can't advertise cause I'm a rules guy, and I can't talk serious with anyone because the posts are contrived and overtly obvious attempts to market products and/or services.
So I'm going to hang out when time allows and try to see if I can't stimulate some meaningful exchange of ideas.
Have a fantastic day!
gm
Chris_Titan 04-26-2006, 06:34 PM I feel similar. I have had to accept that I talk like an ad when I am trying to promote ideas. My communication skills are not perfect.
I like to set up a platform to discuss my ideas. I find that I talk to myself unless I can stimulate some third party interest.
My little homemade movies are hardly good advertising productions but I do hope that they stimulate intetrest with a smile.
Advertising is a tricky word. I think that outright spam and direct marketing are indeed out of order for a forum. But if an individual is working a system and it brings success...lets talk about it.
Let's just consider Mark Joyner my coach and that I am really enjoying the new team I am playing with.
I look forward to an honest exchange of ideas.

Do you know how to make a signature in your control panel? You can make one and link to your site and then check the option to include it in your posts. That is a form of advertising and is allowed.
A while back I had some health problems and for several months I had to completely neglect the forum, and never really got back on track. But even long before that, I was starting to give up on it. And you pretty much hit the nail on the head as to why, very little real discussion and mostly just people here to advertise something.

Are you a real coach?
I got a question. I am doing my daily targets and the physical exertion is killing me. My legs hurt from walking and I am now reluctant to do my targets because of the physical pain. I did mow the lawn and move the boxes on my target list too. The lawn was at least eight inches high...very rainy winter. I have a pile of chores to do still and I sat around for two hours "nursing" my tired body till I felt like doing them...now I want to sleep. :snooze:
Don't coaches have stuff to motivate through the "burn"???
Make it simple...and I am all ears.
Chris Titan
Chris, please make a signature in the control panel. The point being, this forum is not for plastering your links all over the place. I removed the one in your last post.

I went ahead and set up a signature. I'll know as soon as I post this if it worked. It could go either way, because I'm digitally challenged.
Our society has gone so over the top today with marketing that it's difficult sometimes to figure out who is for real and who's just a squirrel trying to get a nut.
The reality is that I might decide to do business with some of the people in this forum, but not if they can't be genuine, so I'm going to keep challenging ideas and doing push-ups. At the very least, when it's all said and done, I'll be buff!
Have a great day!

Dude... what burn?
Walking, moving boxes and mowing? JK... I still owe you a little grief for those push-ups.
Before I can really chime in I need more info. What do you mean by "targets"? What physical exertion are you doing?
I was in the army for 7 years and have been coaching soccer for 8 years, so I have a lot of experience in physical training.
Sustaining motivation is dependent on a lot of different factors, so in order to address your question I need you to be specific about what you are trying to achieve and where you feel you keep getting stuck.

Chris_Titan 05-10-2006, 05:12 AM Hey Coach,
I lost track of this thread right before I got swamped with physical tasks that really wore me out.
I moved my storage unit, did the back yard lawn (8 or so inches high), walked two miles a day, and I threw in some push-ups as well.
I think that one of my "time leeches" (as we call them in Simpleology) is the fact that when I get tired I won't continue to ride myself. I will try to reeard myself with rest and relaxation, but I am not allowing 'sufficient' enrgy and attention to hitting my target.
I get stuck when I feel tired. I rebell. I reward myself in ways that are counter productive.
What sort of techniques can you offer to keep the motivation even when the body gets weary and is suseptable to influence form "weakening descisions"?

Just trying to have an interactive experience. These are mostly links to my blogs where I can house images and movies without draining bandwidth from forums by trying to get the images in.
I think I do a pretty good job of contributing as far as it goes.
Too bad, I was really enjoying my exchange with the Coach and thought that the links were helpful.
It makes it hard to share ideas and information if we can't use the hypertext function of the internet because people are senstive to spam. We are losing the freedoms of choice at a rapid pace.
I will do my best to cooperate with you. If not I will just move on. I hate to have the time I invest in posting altered, censored and otherwise judged for as being substandard.
Thanks for the personal message, most folks dont take the time to even be half way human.

It's a fine line. Not trying to be a hardass, believe me I have much better things to do with my time. I don't even know what the link I removed was now, but thing is, sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between real conversation and plain old advertising. Anyway, the main thing i was trying to get across, was that I want you to make a signature in the control panel with whatever you want in it (within reason of course) as opposed to making a signature inside your posts. I don't have time at the moment to go into a long-winded explanation on my reasoning for it, but if you don't understand, or have a problem with it, PM me and we can discuss it.

What is your target?
Resting when you feel tired is normal. I'm a little concerned about who is telling you that it's not ok to rest. Not only is it ok, but it's necessary. Whatever you hope to accomplish, if you don't strike the right balance (physically, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually) you are going to end up feeling dissatisfied in some way.
I don't know anything about "simpleology". ology is added to words to indicate the study of something. So I take simpleology to mean the study of things simple, but if you need to study, how simple can it be?
The one thing I find with most people who feel like they are struggling is that they are trying to do, be or have what someone else does, is or has. Fundamentally, they aren't happy with themselves so they keep searching and trying to do what other people think they should do.
The advice I begin with is simple... Define success on your own terms, what do you think, what do you want; don't base this on what society thinks, but what you think. Get your priorities straight and begin making decisions that are consistent with your true nature. Then take charge of your situation and set a course for your success.
I don't have a lot of information about your situation, but my instincts are that you get stuck because you aren't clear about how what you have said you want to do, fits into what you truly want to do.
If you do things for the right reasons they will work out. If they aren't working out you'll need to re-examine your reasons. You are the only one who knows what's going on beneath the surface of your life, so you are the only one who can align your actions with your heart's desire.
I hope this helps!
gm

Resting when you feel tired is normal. I'm a little concerned about who is telling you that it's not ok to rest.
Coach,
My target was to mow the lawn and move my storage unit. The problem I was having was that I was tired from mowing the lawn and was suffering from demotivation because of soreness.
I am sure I waste too much time resting...or I am just that out of shape.
No one is telling me not to rest...geeze. I am just trying to maximize my productivity.
What I did was stick to my visualizations and when I was done resting I was full of motivation to move my storage unit. I put this thing off for two years...it really is significant that I moved it at all.
I am stronger this week than I have been in a long time. I even wore a tight fighting shirt to show off my definition to my girl friend. I may even have a real date with her soon... :tiphat:
-Chris Titan
Coach Morse 05-10-2006, 09:32 AM That was all?
Why didn't you say that in the first place?
So what you did was solve your own problem. After you rested you moved your storage unit. Brilliant!!!
What's next on your list?
gm
Chris_Titan 05-13-2006, 07:30 AM Hey Coach,
if you need to study, how simple can it be?
You know that everything takes practice.
By building up POWER we become more effective.
15 push-ups is not simple the first time we do them after being out of shape...after a few weeks 15 push-ups are simple and do not really rrequire the same huge energy drain.
Nothing in life that is Simple...starts out simple.

p.s. It was nice chatting with you coach...I don't think I am long for this forum. I cannot waste time having my posts deleted because they are spam. It is just rude beyond my endurance. I am sort of a fighter.
That thread was not deleted cause of spam. It was because after all that discussion, you still wouldn't follow a simple request regarding the signature.
Chris_Titan 05-13-2006, 10:28 AM That thread was not deleted cause of spam. It was because after all that discussion, you still wouldn't follow a simple request regarding the signature.
Dude,
What diff does that little line make?
I forgot to take the two mins...I have a list of these forums I am using right now for motivation. Like I said I don't see you taking the time to make sure the whole board is clean of ads and hyperlinks.
Why do you have the ability to make hypertext if we are not allowed to use it?
I really don't mind if you ban me for not using a signature like you demand. It is a waste of my time to try to deal with people who are going to act like this.
I am getting soooo much in return here....hahahahahahahaha
If nothing else, it's a matter of respect. I know you simpleology gurus normally don't have to follow the rules, but this is my site, and I request that you do. I would think for a mature, reasonable adult that would be reason enough. Afterall, it's not as if it isn't an extremely simple request. I know I must seem so incredibly ungrateful for all that mega-traffic you are sending my way.
